Martha is a Master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is deeply committed to the transformative process of healing in counseling. With a core belief in the power of human connection, she sees therapy as a collaborative journey where individuals can explore their pain, cultivate resilience, and ultimately alchemize their struggles into sources of strength. Martha’s work is grounded in an attachment-based framework, which allows her to help clients understand and heal the relational dynamics that shape their sense of self and their interactions with others. She believes that the foundation of any healing process lies in creating safe, authentic connection and seeks to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued.

She is deeply curious about the intricacies of the human experience and is constantly seeking opportunities to learn and grow. Martha views each therapeutic relationship as an opportunity to support others on their path toward emotional well-being and self-empowerment. Her approach is grounded in compassion, supportive care and an unwavering belief that we all have the capacity to heal and evolve.

She believes that by deepening our understanding of ourselves and our relationships, we can create healthier, more fulfilling lives. Whether working with individuals, couples, or groups, Martha strives to help others navigate life’s challenges with greater self-compassion and acceptance.

When she is not studying or working, Martha can be found spending time with her husband, their three kids and their boxer, Coco. As a family, they love all things hockey, Wicked, music and binge watching Modern Family and Schitt's Creek. She loves being near the ocean, looking at the mountains and hearing people laugh.
