Gabi completed her Master’s degree through Georgia Southern University’s Counselor Education Master’s program with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in June of 2025. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from West Virginia University in May 2023. Gabi is a Resident in Counseling under direct supervision of Christine Bowers, LMFT, and Katie-Anne Padalino, LPC. She also holds the Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) credential.

Counseling with Gabi is a collaborative experience and she hopes to always provide you a space where you feel safe and seen. She deeply believes that healing occurs when we show each other our humanness - laughter, shame, sorrow - and will never be a hand that guides you away from expressing yourself freely. Even in moments that aren’t pretty or hopeful or congruent with who you are - Gabi will show up with the same curiosity, empathy, and help to bravely confront the things that are challenging you. Her work with clients is grounded in trauma-informed, identity-affirming care and integrates concepts from person-centered counseling, DBT, and multicultural counseling that utilizes a systemic, societal lens to look at well-being and functioning.

Gabi’s current clinical focus areas are children under 14, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodivergent clients.

Outside the office, Gabi enjoys reading, loving her four legged friends, and searching for her new favorite coffee. During the fall, she can be found either in the stands supporting UV A Football or watching the Ravens on Sundays. Gabi’s return to the Blue Ridge Mountains following her educational journey feels like the perfect place to grow alongside the rich, fruitful communities of Central Virginia, the University of Virginia, and Albemarle County.
