Gabi earned her Master’s degree through Georgia Southern University’s Counselor Education Master’s program with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from West Virginia University. Gabi deeply believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate healing. Counseling with Gabi is a collaborative experience and she hopes to always provide you a space where you can feel safe, seen, and be unapologetically you. She approaches each client with compassion and hopes to facilitate part of the journey to where you’d like to be with your mental health and well-being.

Her work with clients is grounded in a multicultural framework and integrates concepts from existentialism, IFS, and feminist theory. Gabi knows counseling approaches are not one size fits all, so she is committed to continuing to build her knowledge on a variety of methods and theories. Gabi enjoys working with individuals of all ages and has particular interest in working with young children, teens, and families.

Gabi is a Resident in Counseling being supervised by Christine. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor.

Outside the office, Gabi enjoys reading novels, spending time with her cat Oswald, all things Taylor Swift, and searching for her new favorite latte. During football season, she can be found either in the stands supporting UVA Football with her parents or on the couch watching the Ravens. She is thrilled to return to the Shenandoah Valley after earning her degrees and take in the mountain views.
