And happiness, I have decided, is a noble ambition.

Carrie is a Resident in Counseling under Christine’s supervision. She earned her BA in Communication Studies from Roanoke College, and she earned her MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg. She is excited to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, and she has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Carrie is passionate about building relationships with others, and this largely guides her counseling style. With a Person-Centered approach, she meets each client wherever they are in their journey with openness to facilitate growth, healing, and self-discovery. Carrie is a believer in life-long learning, and she is looking forward to continuing to build her skills and knowledge in various counseling modalities and theories. Through a collaborative therapeutic alliance, clients will always have a voice in the room to share the highs, lows, and in-betweens of their lives.

When she is not in the office, Carrie enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing in the car, or reading a good book. After recently moving to the Charlottesville area, she is excited to build connections and advocate within the community.
